Sandera in 1951, on her delivery passage from Ballyholme to Southampton

Sandera is on a mooring at Gillingham on the Medway, bearing the sail number S4 in the ownership of Ray Taylor. In 1951 Martin Imrie was asked by Robert Slater, the designer and builder of the S-Class boats, to deliver Sandera to Southampton, ready for her new owner. One of the crew was the skipper’s four-year-old son Martyn, who has now supplied a log of their passage.
